Position Responsibilities

The Certified Nursing Assistant in the Behavioral Health department is a licensed support professional responsible for assisting with daily living activities, providing basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helping maintain a safe environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the unit.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification upon hire is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) upon hire and must be maintained.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology is essential.
  • A minimum of six months of prior experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office is preferred.
  • Must obtain a current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintain it.

Compensation

The estimated compensation for this role, which includes wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, ranges from $19.00 to $25.57. The specific starting compensation will be determined at the time of hiring, considering various factors such as skill set, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
