Job Summary

Mitchell Martin is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our Brooklyn, NY location. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide unscheduled patients with immediate attention to presenting complaints in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
  • Offer health education and counseling on various topics, including the nature of presenting complaints, follow-up care, and available on-site referral services.
  • Collaborate with Patient Services staff to ensure patients receive on-site referral appointments as needed.
  • Provide health education one-on-one and in small groups, both spontaneously and on a scheduled basis.
  • Offer coverage as needed in clinical units at Main and other clinical sites.
Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner, Family or Adult certification preferred.
  • Experience and/or training in community health center settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish, French, Haitian Creole) a plus.
  • Computer literacy/proficiency required.
  • 2-5 years' experience as an NP.
  • Board Certified and/or Eligible.
