Johnson Controls International is seeking a highly skilled Fire Inspector/Investigator to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and safety-conscious individual to conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance on electrical, sprinkler, and suppression life safety product lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage electrical systems and experience working with fire and life safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical, sprinkler, and suppression life safety product lines
  • Perform preventative maintenance on life safety systems
  • Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices
  • Complete Service Acknowledgements and input inspection documents via laptop computer
  • Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule
  • Ability to work in unusual positions, such as climbing ladders and working in crawl spaces
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and travel out of town
Requirements:
  • 5 years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems
  • Experience working with fire and/or life safety systems
  • Ability to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and iPhone apps
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
