**Overview**

Catholic Health Initiatives is committed to building healthy communities and advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.

**Responsibilities**

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, communicating with departments, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and verifying necessary information and records in the medical record.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

  • Greeting patients in a polite and prompt manner
  • Providing information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from clinic services
  • Answering phones in a pleasant manner and dealing with patient needs expeditiously
  • Using EMR to generate information necessary for billing
  • Verifying and updating patient information
  • Collecting copay and obtaining patient signatures as needed
  • Completing necessary paperwork and issuing receipts
  • Collecting and entering patient's insurance information into the database
  • Managing, directing, and monitoring coding activities on all services
  • Obtaining referral information and scheduling surgeries, outpatient appointments, and admissions
  • Sending and receiving patient's medical records
  • Assembling patient's charts for next day visits
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the medical records
  • Assisting physician with clerical tasks and coordinating service requests
  • Maintaining clinic office and equipment
  • Informing the administrator of operational problems
  • Responsible for mail room functions, including sorting and distribution of mail
  • Orders and inventories supplies
  • Assists with training and supervision of staff, helping them develop performance goals and objectives
  • Responsible for assisting patients with questions on insurance claims, home healthcare, and medical equipment
  • Responsible for administering, directing, planning, and coordinating all office activities

**Qualifications**

**Education:** High school graduate

**Experience:** Minimum 1 year clinic experience preferred

**Skills:** Required: Computer programs/EMR

**Pay Range:** $11.41 - $15.69 /hour
