Job Overview

Position: Logistics Associate

Daycon Products Company, a prominent provider of maintenance solutions and supplies, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to become a vital part of our operations team. This role involves the receipt, organization, selection, and dispatch of materials and products within our facility.

WORKING HOURS: 5:00AM - 2:00PM

COMPENSATION: $19.00 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret receiving schedules, dispatch logs, and purchase orders to ascertain items to be received, picked, staged, or delivered.
  • Transport materials from receiving or production areas to designated storage locations using appropriate equipment.
  • Safeguard high-value items by storing them in secure areas.
  • Compile customer orders from inventory and prepare them for shipment.
  • Label materials accurately in accordance with established procedures.
  • Open various types of containers as required.
  • Document quantities of materials received or distributed.
  • Process shipments for common carriers and other delivery services.
  • Utilize computer systems to manage inventory and print necessary documentation.
  • Employ voice-directed software for efficient picking operations.
  • Assist customers who are picking up orders from the warehouse.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment.
  • Operate machinery such as compactors and shrink wrap machines as needed.
  • Conduct inventory counts and manage stock levels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in reading and understanding English.
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with computer operations.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team or independently.
  • Capability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize voice-directed picking technology.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Ability to perform various physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous materials may occur.
  • Regularly works in diverse environments including warehouses and outdoor settings.
