Role Overview: As a Team Member Trainer, you will play a vital role in enhancing our supply chain network by delivering an outstanding onboarding experience for new team members. You will cultivate a culture of learning, development, standardization, and collaboration within the Distribution Center. Collaborating closely with your manager and the Training Operations Manager (TOM), you will gain a thorough understanding of the training program's content and strategy to ensure effective execution for both new and experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with TOM and Training Specialists (TS) to create training plans for new hires.
- Facilitate training sessions for Warehouse Workers (WW) and Warehouse Associates (WA), covering new hire orientation, core competencies, specialty training, and recertification.
- Deliver consistent training focused on prioritizing safety.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with team members to foster an inclusive environment.
- Support the onboarding and retention of new hires and peers.
- Monitor and assess progress to ensure proficiency.
Your primary focus will be on training and demonstrating job functions for WW or WA roles. There may be times when you will be assigned to a productive role to meet business needs and maintain your skills in these functions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate all power equipment and warehouse technology safely.
- Capable of lifting and carrying merchandise weighing up to 47 lbs. regularly, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
- Frequent movement throughout the site, potentially for up to 10-12 hours per shift.
- Ability to work in various temperature-controlled environments, including below-freezing conditions.
- Access to all areas of the Distribution Center, including conveyor crossovers and mezzanine platforms.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in distribution or training; experience in employee training is preferred.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to comprehend verbal, written, and visual communication effectively.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Adaptability to changing priorities with minimal notice.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule to provide support across multiple shifts as needed.
- Effective communication skills to convey messages clearly and ensure understanding.
