The Role

This position involves joining a team responsible for designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots capable of operating in human spaces and handling tools. The successful candidate will work alongside humans, navigate various environments, and manipulate their surroundings.



About the Job

This role requires an experienced MDE with complex technical project management skills to aid the hardware design team in transitioning new designs into production. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating optimal assembly process flows for mass production
  • Designing and implementing assembly fixtures and equipment
  • Managing vendor teams for line design and setup according to program schedules
  • Ensuring cost reduction opportunities in assembly processes
  • Identifying and resolving key risks during project execution
  • Establishing RMA processes for repairing serviceable items


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering (or related field)
  • At least 5 years of experience in MFG, Process, or similar engineering roles
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and manufacturing processes
  • Experience supporting new product launches from a manufacturing or product development perspective
  • Excellent written and oral communication in highly technical applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Detailed knowledge of product development processes and life cycles
  • Familiarity with business software tools (Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, Dropbox, etc.)


Compensation and Benefits

This position comes with a competitive salary ($120,000 - $160,000 per year) along with a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible work hours, unlimited PTO, a 401(k) plan, and professional development opportunities.
