About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Development Engineer to join our team at AirBorn Inc. This role will be responsible for defining, developing, and overseeing the implementation of new manufacturing processes primarily for Raytheon connectors and cable assemblies or improvements to existing manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with design engineering on new products and special manufacturing process requirements.
  • Review Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW) for compliance and implement new procedures/processes as needed.
  • Assist in developing cost/pricing strategy for SSOW compliance requirements related to design and manufacturing engineering.
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering on problem analysis and implementing solutions.
  • Analyze process plans and determine lean-based layouts and work force planning/utilization for maximum efficiency.
  • Develop and implement cost savings and quality improvement projects.
  • Design simple tooling, jigs, and fixtures using PTC Creo.
  • Communicate Statements of Work for complex capital purchases.
  • Conduct vendor assessments and audits.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability review and feedback to product engineering.
  • Determine accurate manufacturing costs for new process implementations or improvements.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Two to three years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Methodologies and Six Sigma principles.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
