Emergency Medicine Physician for Trauma Medical Director Position in North Houston

Memorial Hermann Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Trauma Medical Director physician to join our Emergency Medicine team at Huntsville Memorial Hospital, located north of Houston. Our Emergency Department is a level IV Trauma center, treating approximately 21,900 patients annually. The ideal candidate should be EM certified or board eligible.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Maintain a Trauma Center: Lead efforts to establish and maintain a trauma center that meets the highest standards of care.
- Collaborate with Trauma Program Coordinator: Work closely with the Trauma Program Coordinator to establish trauma program goals and objectives, and participate in the development of trauma policies, protocols, and practice guidelines.
- Implement Trauma Program Policies: Ensure the implementation of all trauma program policies and procedures related to patient care.
- Integrate Trauma Program with Hospital Departments: Organize, direct, and integrate the trauma program with all other departments and services within the hospital.
- Promote Collaborative Environment: Foster a cooperative and collaborative working environment among clinical disciplines involved in trauma care.
- Establish Physician Case Management: Develop and implement a physician case management process that promotes cost-effective, high-quality patient care.
- Implement Performance Improvement Activities: Determine and implement performance improvement activities appropriate to the trauma program.
- ATLS Certification: Currently certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
- Additional Administrative Responsibilities: Perform other administrative services as requested by leadership.
