Multiple openings available. Shift differential pay is offered for weekend shifts.

Twelve-hour shifts - 6am to 6pm on weekdays or 6am to 6pm on weekends.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an entry-level debug technician/programmer responsible for overseeing the In-Circuit Test Engineering Process and managing attributes that influence this process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enhance production yields in real-time by analyzing data and implementing process improvements for specific NDF-type failures to achieve departmental objectives, while directing manufacturing concerns to the relevant department for root cause analysis and corrective measures.
  • Develop proficiency in fixture mechanics, including probe replacement, fixture hardware repair/replacement, and fixture operation.
  • Gain expertise in lower-level software debugging, encompassing shorts, JX/OX, pins, testjet, and analog-type failures.
  • Apply analytical skills and repair techniques to minimize test downtime and meet departmental targets.
  • Deliver solutions and training on advanced diagnostic issues to fellow diagnostic technicians.
  • Prevent ICT test escapes.
  • Update and create documentation as necessary.
  • Ensure a continuous flow of the manufacturing line while achieving production goals during assigned testing duties.
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations associated with this role as directed by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all procedures outlined in the company security policy.
  • May perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 1-5 years of relevant experience in debugging, testing, and/or repairing computer hardware (motherboards, DIMMs memory, CPUs, etc.).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience with Linux software is essential.
  • Capability to lift and load up to 25 pounds consistently.
  • Understanding of SSH or Telnet and the workings of computer POST.
  • Mid-level knowledge of BMC/IPMI.
  • Experience with firmware updates via SSH and familiarity with tools such as ethtool, ncat, imitool, and smart is preferred.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Familiarity with various programming languages and editors, including but not limited to: BT-Basic, vi, and emacs.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, along with fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Competence in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Proficient in operating a personal computer, including using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and comprehend visual aids.
  • Common sense understanding to execute simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to handle standardized situations with minimal variables.
  • Competence in reading and understanding simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in various units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Capability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.
