Responsibilities:
LOCATION - Hybrid Role

As a member of the Data Quality team at Celanese, you will play a pivotal role in defining, orchestrating, and ensuring adherence to the Material SAP processes and Certificates of Analysis (COA). Your contributions will enhance the management and configuration of SAP controls for the global production of commercial materials within the Engineered Materials Division. In your capacity as a Global Quality Specialist, you will engage in the design and ongoing maintenance of our SAP material governance framework. Given the critical nature of data integrity, this position is vital to our enterprise-wide data quality initiative and necessitates extensive collaboration across various business sectors. Regular interactions with corporate IT and daily engagement with our global production, regulatory, and technology teams will be integral to your role. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support the regional internal audit initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • COA Management: Extract data, assess error types, identify root causes, and process Certificates of Analysis (COA). Oversee COA outputs and profiles within SAP.
  • BOM and Inspection Plan Oversight: Manage and troubleshoot SAP data related to Material Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Inspection Plans. Ensure timely resolution of all tasks assigned through the EVOLVE portal.
  • Business Process Support: Assist Business Process Analysts in comprehending errors and the necessary corrective actions.
  • Data Reporting: Access SAP to extract data, generate custom reports, and create ADHOC reports as needed.
  • Issue Tracking: Document and monitor systematic issues, test IT solutions, and ensure permanent resolution of errors.
  • Standard Reporting: Utilize SAP, SM (Sample Manager), Winshuttle/Evolve, and BI for standard reporting, including data uploads and departmental reports.
  • Process Execution: Plan and execute all required process steps as outlined in our methodologies.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify, track, and resolve issues and risks impacting SAP applications.
  • Customer Interaction: Maintain professional interactions with both internal and external global customers.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work with third parties and vendors to foster process improvements.
  • IT Support: Provide process expertise to IT for major projects and integrations.
  • Master Data Expertise: Serve as the Process Expert for Quality Master data, including COA, Inspection Plans, and COA Profiles.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate business processes into technical requirements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of core business functions, including order processing, delivery, scheduling, billing, pricing agreements, and rebates.
  • Capability to recognize the impact of processes or data across multiple functional areas or SAP modules.
  • Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly motivated and reliable, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines while multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
  • Familiarity with internal processes such as Request for Specification Change (RSC), New Product Entry Form (NPEF), Sample Manager (SM), and Quality Notification (QN) is advantageous.
  • Experience with data/reporting software like Tableau, Alteryx, BI, and PowerBI, or a willingness to learn.
