Health Services Specialist

About the Role:
As a key member of the Harlingen CISD team, the Health Services Specialist will play a vital role in providing direct health services to students. This position requires a Registered Nurse with a strong passion for promoting health education and preventive health practices. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to serving the needs of students and the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive program of health services for the school.
  • Provide direct health services to students, including medical assessments, treatments, and referrals.
  • Promote health education and preventive health practices among students, faculty, and staff.
  • Serve as a health advocate for students, ensuring their needs are met and their health is protected.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
  • Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas, as issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas.
  • Certified in CPR, audiometric, and vision screening.
  • Must have car, driver's license, and liability insurance.
  • Two years of nursing experience, preferably in school/community health.

Work Schedule:

Salary:

$165.00 daily
