Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team as a Skilled Care Specialist. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, mental, and psychological well-being is promoted at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular rounds to assess and document resident condition and changes
- Implement care plans as directed by the healthcare team
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident visits
- Perform narcotic reconciliation and identify significant changes in resident condition
- Oversee and monitor the work of nursing aides
- Initiate and complete incident and accident reports as needed
- Discharge residents according to facility policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements
- Active Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas in good standing
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility preferred
Working Conditions
The physical demands of this role include regular communication, standing, sitting, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
