Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Margaritaville. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our venue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest quality product reaches our guests and meets specifications.
- Conduct daily shift meetings to ensure all staff members are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
- Assist in training new staff members within their department to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Assist management with motivating, developing, coaching, and counseling staff members to ensure the proper level of service is being provided to guests.
- Visit all tables during every guest's meal to ensure guest satisfaction and consistent customer service.
- Notify management of low inventory and recommend new inventory to ensure we have the necessary supplies to meet guest demands.
- Assist with labor controls and assigning duties to staff members to ensure efficient operation of the venue.
- Responsible for reporting any staff member issues to management and ensuring that all productivity and quality standards are maintained.
- Responsible for comping and/or discounting guest checks when applicable.
- Ensure a high standard of service efficiency, sanitation, and training is maintained at all times.
- Assist management with opening and closing responsibilities and assigning duties to staff members, including overseeing dining room set up and conducting a walk-through of the venue.
- Ensure that all staff members are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- One to two years of experience in a high-volume food and beverage environment.
- Supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.
- Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Basic computer skills, Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
Education:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Health permit/food safety and Alcohol Awareness certification required.
