Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Choice Schools. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our school buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily cleaning and disinfecting of school facilities, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and using an automatic floor scrubber.
  • Ensure buildings and premises are kept neat and clean at all times, including walkways, parking lots, and play areas.
  • Check daily to ensure exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during building occupancy.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping or vacuuming classrooms, dusting furniture, and cleaning corridors.
  • Disinfect bathroom floors and clean sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
  • Wash windows on both the inside and outside at least twice a year, and more frequently if necessary.
  • Keep grounds free from rubbish and maintain all floors in a clean and attractive condition.
  • Clean chalkboards and marker boards weekly.
  • Report major repairs needed to the Administrator promptly.
  • Move furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the Administrator.
  • Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste.
  • Assume responsibility for the safe condition of outdoor structures.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate aptitude and competence for assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with school personnel and students in a diverse school community.
  • Solid record of punctuality.
  • Willing to be trained.
  • Reliable and team-oriented.
