Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Charge Cardiac (Department of Corrections Unit) FT Days to join our team at Carondelet St. Marys Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve well-organized patient care, including delegation of position-appropriate patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assessment - The RN uses a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze data about a patient, the first step in delivering nursing care.
  • Updating patient records to accurately show patient condition.
  • Care plan - Based on the assessment and problem identification, the nurse sets measurable and achievable short- and long-range goals in collaboration with the patient and family.
  • Implementation of care plan.
  • Transition or Discharge planning-assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Monitoring vital signs, telemetry monitors, and EKG interpretation.
  • Ensures patient safety.
  • Medication administration.
  • Patient/Family education.
  • Supervision & multitasking.
Requirements
  • Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association certification preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • One year of RN experience.
