We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Nurse to join our team at Carondelet St. Marys Hospital. As a Charge Nurse in our Cardiac Department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve well-organized patient flow.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies.
- Monitor patient vital signs, telemetry monitors, and EKG interpretation to ensure timely interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide patient and family education to promote health literacy and self-care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred).
- One year of RN experience in a cardiac or critical care setting.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- BSN degree (preferred).
