Job Description

DFW Fire Equipment is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to join our team. As a Fire Suppression Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs of fire and safety equipment, including portable fire extinguishers, fixed fire suppression systems, emergency lighting, panic doors, and fire alarms. You will also be responsible for completing related inspection reports and other work order documents, as well as attending periodic training programs for our equipment manufacturers and becoming certified under the DFW Fire Equipment name.

Job Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Maintain Fire Equipment: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of fire and safety equipment to ensure compliance with applicable NFPA codes, state codes, and regulations, as well as manufacturer requirements.
  • Complete Inspection Reports: Complete detailed inspection reports and other work order documents, including job status and services rendered.
  • Provide Estimates and Proposals: Conduct surveys and visual inspections of customer locations to provide detailed information for job estimates and customer proposals.
  • Attend Training Programs: Attend periodic training programs for our equipment manufacturers to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
Qualifications
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
  • Fire Extinguisher License: A fire extinguisher license issued by the Texas state fire marshal's office is preferred.
  • Clean Driving Record: A clean driving record is required.
  • Basic Hand Tool and Mechanical Knowledge: Basic hand tool and mechanical knowledge and experience are required.
