Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Technician to join our team. As a Commissioning Technician, you will be responsible for the commissioning and testing of fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend pre-booking meetings to gain knowledge of the sales estimate and project scope.
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and contract details to determine system requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team.
  • Identify time-sensitive installation needs and coordinate work with subcontractors.
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
  • Track resources and project progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide on-site assistance with or perform programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes.
  • Participate in job site final walk-through, complete all job closeout documentation, and provide customer training.
Requirements
  • On the job experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems.
  • 3+ years to qualify for the level II level, 5+ years' to qualify for the senior level.
  • Texas Department of Insurance Fire Alarm technician License (FAL).
  • Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years' experience in the installation and / or maintenance of Fire Systems.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to read/understand design and construction documents.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

The pay range for this position is $70,280 - $120,480 / year.
