Job Title: CASA Staff Advocate

Clark County Government is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Advocate to join our team. As a Staff Advocate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of abused and neglected children in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview children, parents, relatives, and other relevant parties to gather information about the child's situation.
  • Develop and implement case plans to ensure the child's needs are met.
  • Communicate with service providers, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure the child receives necessary support.
  • Attend Child and Family Team Meetings and court hearings to advocate for the child's best interests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and submit regular reports to the Program Director.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and professionals.
  • Knowledge of child abuse and neglect issues and dynamics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and commitment to the organization's mission.
