Lead Therapist PTA Opportunity

Vertis Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Assistant Lead to join our team at our Assisted Living with Memory Care facility in Jeffersonville, IN. As a therapist-owned and managed company, we prioritize patient-centered care and are committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the therapy department, ensuring compliance with Vertis and facility policies and procedures.
  • Supervise therapy staff and coordinate RUG management.
  • Provide direct patient care, applying principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in physical therapy to the patient population served.
  • Coordinate resident screening programs and serve as an advocate for meeting the rehabilitation needs of residents.
  • Act as a liaison between the therapy department, administrator, and nursing staff.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end billing and coordinate therapist schedules.
  • Communicate PT/OT/SLP schedules and changes to administration and nursing staff.
  • Train staff in Vertis and facility policies and procedures.
  • Assist in identifying therapy needs of the resident population and lead the therapy team in implementing clinical programs.
  • Effectively communicate pertinent information from Vertis management and facility management to the therapy team.
Requirements:
  • Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Current license/certification in the state of Indiana.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a rehabilitation setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
