Job Summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on sprinkler fire suppression systems
  • Service and inspect wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems
  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards
  • Service wet-based fire sprinkler systems
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner
  • Install or upgrade fire sprinklers in commercial and residential buildings
  • Test and repair alarm systems
  • Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code
  • Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues and results of work completed
  • Protect and maintain company equipment
  • Inspect and maintain the truck and related equipment, submitting repair requests as necessary
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
  • Work in a safe manner, adhering to company safety procedures and regulations
  • Respond to emergency service calls
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently when needed

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems preferred
  • Experience with commercial and residential systems
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Flexibility with scheduling requirements, including evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments
  • Ability to display knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety
  • Ability to display knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
