About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Manager to join our team at Shearer's Foods. As a key member of our manufacturing site leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team in implementing a comprehensive maintenance and reliability strategy to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the efficient maintenance and improvement of food processing equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal policies and regulations.
  • Work with the operations team to establish production line operating metrics and improve up-time and reliability.
  • Provide technical support for all production equipment and ensure lines are mechanically capable of meeting standard operating rates and reliability.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of inventory and parts, and identify opportunities to improve equipment designs or department procedures.
  • Drive plant asset integrity and reliability programs, including predictive maintenance, total productive maintenance, and lean six sigma techniques.
  • Optimize cost through effective budget planning and management, and identify cost-saving ideas for facility maintenance.
  • Interface with vendors and contractors to ensure company needs are met, and collaborate with associates in manufacturing, warehouse, planning, engineering, QA, and other departments as needed.
  • Responsible for a team of technicians, including performance and compensation management, training, coaching, discipline, and career development.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or project engineering, preferably in the food processing and consumer packaged goods industries.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory and people management experience.
  • TPM and CMRP preferred with asset management best practices.
  • Significant hands-on experience in leading maintenance teams, with a record of achievement in lean manufacturing support, continuous improvement, and breakdown reduction.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to perform data manipulation and analysis using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Applicable systems and software knowledge, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a culture of accountability and teamwork.
