Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the accounting function and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers.
  • Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
  • Install, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
  • Develop and implement systems for general accounting. Make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • Manage collection of plant financial and operational data to prepare for the Division's annual budget process.
  • Conduct studies and submit recommendations for improving the organization's accounting and plant operation.
  • Collect appropriate data for federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
  • Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of accounting processes.
  • Coordinate and work closely with the Corporate Manufacturing Accounting Division.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Seven to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Effective communication skills; media, verbal, and writing.
  • Proven expertise in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of AS400 software is a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • Generally works in a typical office setting but will be required to perform some job duties in a plant environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job in the plant, the team member may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
  • The team member may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures in the plant.
  • The noise level in the plant is frequently loud.
