Job Summary

As a Staff Reliability Engineer at Tesla, you will play a critical role in designing reliability into our industrial and residential energy products. You will be responsible for investigating failures, analyzing data, and developing strategies to improve product reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate failures through physics of failure analysis and physical testing
  • Analyze data to predict product robustness and optimize reliability
  • Develop and implement reliability validation plans
  • Work closely with design and reliability data engineers to create and interpret numeric models
  • Drive reliability assessments in product design reviews
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 1+ years of industry experience in a reliability engineering role or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of accelerated testing methods, governing equations, and physics of failure
  • Working knowledge of failure analysis techniques and programming languages
