Job Title: Reliability Engineer for Power Distribution

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Tesla. As a Reliability Engineer for Power Distribution, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing reliability into our high voltage distribution systems for the Tesla Semi.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement reliability into high voltage distribution systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand emerging designs and architectures
  • Identify risks associated with these architectures and develop mitigation strategies
  • Develop and implement test plans to assess the reliability of our products
  • Provide reliability analyses and suggestions to improve the reliability of our products

Requirements:

  • Strong technical background in materials and high voltage applications
  • 2+ years of experience working on battery systems and high voltage laboratory testing environments
  • Experience with burn-in testing, Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), and Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT)
  • Understanding of Highly Accelerated testing methods and governing equations for different types of acceleration models
  • Experience with developing reliability guidelines and inventing novel ways of reliability testing
