About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at West Star Aviation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on aircraft and related systems, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with aircraft systems and components.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of aircraft and components to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Operate ground support equipment and perform tasks such as de-fueling and engine removal/installations.
  • Assist in the movement and operation of aircraft, including taxiing and performance runs.
  • Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
  • Initiative: Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment with specific deadlines and time constraints.
  • Sense of Responsibility: Attend work every day as scheduled, notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work, and maintain reliable transportation to get to work.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations from very cold to very hot. Work outside during aircraft runs will occur. Varied positions in and around the aircraft.

  • Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.
  • Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
  • Jacks, stands, lifts, and other support devices.
  • Tugs, power carts, and other engine-powered equipment.
