Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at West Star Aviation. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, troubleshooting and problem solving aircraft system/component issues, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve aircraft system/component issues
  • De-fuel aircraft
  • Engine removal/installations
  • Operate ground support equipment
  • Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components
  • Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing
  • Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling
  • Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
Requirements
  • A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory
  • Technician I: 0-2 years' experience as an A P mechanic
  • Technician II: 2-5 years' experience as an A P mechanic
  • Technician III: 5+ years' experience as an A P mechanic
Work Schedule

Shift I: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Shift II: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:00am

Weekends: Friday-Saturday 6am-6:30pm
