Job Summary
West Star Aviation is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues, and ensuring all work is performed in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems
- Remove and install panels and components
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve aircraft system/component issues
- De-fuel aircraft
- Engine removal/installations
- Operate ground support equipment
- Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory
- Technician I: 0-2 years' experience as an A&P mechanic
- Technician II: 2-5 years' experience as an A&P mechanic
- Technician III: 5+ years' experience as an A&P mechanic
Work Schedule
Shift I: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Shift II: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:00am
Weekends: Friday-Saturday 6am-6:30pm
