Your Role:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to become a vital part of our design team. This position focuses on creating optimal learning environments for educational institutions, ensuring that our facilities positively influence the educational experience.
Team Dynamics:
This role will report to the Electrical Engineering Department Manager, collaborating with a diverse group of professionals dedicated to excellence in facility design. Our mission is to integrate top-tier talent from various disciplines to enhance the design process, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design comprehensive electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, security, and communication systems.
- Develop system concepts, perform necessary calculations, and create layouts and specifications in coordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct site evaluations of existing electrical systems to assess work progress and completed projects.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with project teams, senior staff, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 4-8 years of relevant design experience with building electrical systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit/BIM, along with a working knowledge of MS Office.
Preferred Attributes:
- EIT certification, pursuing PE, or Licensed PE.
- Experience in an Engineering or Architectural/Engineering consulting firm.
- Familiarity with K-12 school projects and/or federal projects.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000, reflecting Tetra Tech's commitment to fair compensation based on experience, skills, and job responsibilities.
