The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for a tenure-eligible faculty position in the field of Gastroenterology. This role is open to applicants at various academic ranks, including Assistant, Associate, or Professor, and will be part of a dedicated team of Gastroenterology specialists.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to both patient care and academic scholarship. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing patient care in a clinical setting
  • Performing standard endoscopic procedures
  • Participating in inpatient GI services
  • Engaging in ongoing clinical research initiatives
  • Contributing to the education of fellows and residents

Rank will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications and experience.

Applicants must possess an MD or an equivalent degree and must be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the time of appointment.

This position is classified as Exempt and comes with benefits. It is a restricted role, contingent upon project needs, funding availability, and performance evaluations. Background checks and health screenings will be conducted for all new hires.
