Position Overview: The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at UVA Health System is actively seeking two full-time, Fellowship-trained Radiologists to become integral members of a newly established Division of Emergency Medicine. These roles will adhere to a conventional academic schedule, consisting of four clinical shifts and one academic shift weekly.

Work Schedule: The work shifts will encompass a combination of daytime (8 AM to 5 PM) and evening (1 PM to 10 PM) hours, conducted from a dedicated Emergency Reading Room adjacent to the Emergency Department. Opportunities for remote shifts will also be available.

Clinical Responsibilities: The primary clinical responsibilities for this position will involve a diverse array of imaging modalities, including Ultrasounds, CT scans, MRIs, and plain films, contributing to approximately 60-65 wRVUs per shift. Residents will be present on-site during night shifts to support the team.

Team Environment: Our Emergency Radiologists will collaborate with a robust team of 40 residents, 27 Fellows/Instructors, and around 60 Clinical Faculty members within a Level-1 Trauma Center. They will oversee all imaging aspects for patients presenting with minor to acute/traumatic conditions.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess an MD or equivalent degree, be eligible for Virginia State Medical Licensure, and be ABR Certified/Eligible or have equivalent qualifications. A strong interest in pursuing a career in academic radiology is essential. Academic rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
