- Administrative Support: Complete paperwork and administrative tasks as directed by the Head Teacher, Director, or Assistant to the Director.
- Classroom Coverage: Provide coverage during breaks and meetings, ensuring the classroom remains a safe and engaging environment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Early Childhood Program Licensing Regulations for Vermont, implementing best practices in our daily operations.
- Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.
- Education and Certification: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years of age, and completion of a 45-hour course in child development approved by the VT Child Care Services Division, or one higher education course (minimum 3 credits) in early childhood development to be successfully completed within one year of employment.
- Certifications: Certification in infant/child CPR, first aid, injury prevention, and emergency readiness within six months.
- Early Childhood Experience: CDA or college courses and 12 months of experience working with groups of young children.
