Job Title: Child Care Supervisor

Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Care Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the daily operation of our child care facility runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster open communication between parents and caregivers to ensure a seamless experience for our guests.
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities that promote learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with the Child Care Manager to create and implement curriculum that meets state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure staff are supervised and compliant with rules and regulations, maintaining accurate and confidential client and program files.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching staff on transitions and behavior management.
  • Assist with scheduling, managing reservations, and contracts.
  • Oversee daily check-in and check-out, managing reservations as needed.
  • Develop and implement staff professional development and orientation/policy training.
  • Manage and oversee the child care center during the Child Care Manager's absence.
  • Complete required annual training hours as defined by the State of Vermont Department of Children and Families and the Child Care Manager.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred.
  • Vermont Early Childhood and Afterschool Program Director Step One (1) Certificate required.
  • 3 to 5 years experience as a Teacher Associate or Supervisor in a licensed child care program.
  • 1 to 2 years supervision and staff management experience.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of state legislation, regulation, and policies.
  • First Aid & CPR Certified.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong communication, written, and verbal skills.
Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel may be required to attend educational functions.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • This position will require work during weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift 40 (forty) pounds, on a regular and repeating basis.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
