Position Overview

This role is a hybrid position and will be based out of one of our Service Centers.

When stationed at the base, the individual will play a crucial role within the facility maintenance team or potentially the fabrication shop, depending on the location.

Given the expansion of our Services division, this role will require travel to various Service Centers primarily within the designated region.

The travel's purpose will be to support facility enhancement or upgrade initiatives, occasionally at client locations.

During travel periods, the primary responsibility will involve the on-site execution of facility capital expenditure projects.

The core responsibilities of this role will include mechanical installation, repair, or upgrade tasks. This position demands a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.

While working from the Service Center, the technician will ensure that the installation of equipment and machinery, as well as general repairs, are conducted efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to remote facilities to assist with on-site installation and maintenance of capital expenditure projects.
  • Adhere strictly to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards in line with both company and site guidelines.
  • Ability to interpret and implement engineering drawings and P&IDs, working according to project engineering standards.
Essential Duties

  • Travel to company facilities or client sites for on-site installation of capital expenditure projects, with travel up to 50%.
  • Comply with the highest EHS standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the installation lead and maintain clear communication to ensure smooth operations.
  • Be available on-call for emergency situations to maintain project schedules.
  • Follow directives from the facility maintenance leader.
  • Exhibit exemplary EHS standards and adhere to policies/procedures to ensure safety for oneself and others.
  • Install new equipment or rearrange existing machinery.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance at the facility or within the mobile fleet.
  • Approach work with reliability and thoroughness.
  • Perform building and grounds maintenance.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices by keeping maintenance and tool storage areas organized and ensuring timely cleanup after each task.
  • Execute confined space entries in small tanks with 14x18" manways.
  • Keep records and reports as directed by the immediate supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Willingness and ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, working at heights, and manual dexterity.
  • Willingness and ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Willingness and ability to operate in various environments, including industrial and manufacturing facilities.
  • Ability to read and implement safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Availability for on-call status for emergency response.
  • Willingness to travel for installation and repair as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in repair and maintenance.
  • Experience with Schedule 80 PVC pipe (2" to 8").
  • Trade school background in plumbing, carpentry, or mechanical repair is highly desirable.
  • Experience in repairing positive displacement pumps.
Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience or training in PVC plumbing or mechanical repair and maintenance.
Working Conditions

  • Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
  • Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to operate in various environments, including industrial and manufacturing settings.
  • Availability for on-call status for emergency response.
  • Estimated travel requirement of 50%.
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in pipe fitting or plumbing.
  • Minimum of five years of mechanical repair and maintenance experience or training.
