Job Title: Technical Support Specialist - Part-Time

">Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring seamless access to learning management systems, software tools, and online services.
">Responsibilities:

- Daily Calls: Respond to daily calls from faculty, assisting them with utilizing the learning management system and implementing instructional tools for educational purposes.">
- Technical Support: Assist students with using common learning management systems and other software tools, troubleshoot ongoing issues, and perform password resets for college department email accounts.">
- Create Work Orders: Create work orders for hardware/network issues using electronic ticketing systems and maintain computers and equipment.">
- Customer Service: Provide customer service, responding to help desk calls, and answering common questions regarding academic calendars and online services.">
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.">
Requirements:
">Knowledge: To be successful in this role, you should have knowledge of program policies, procedures, and requirements, agency operations, customer service principles, modern office technology, specialized equipment relevant to your area of assignment, and applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, rules, and regulations.
">Skills: Strong operating computer and software skills, excellent customer service skills, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to utilize communication and interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, supervisors, the general public, and others.
">Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Software: Familiarity with current LMS, password management, college chat portal, Ellucian Banner, Microsoft Office Suite, and office equipment such as phones, computers, copiers, and faxes.
">Physical Factors: This role requires sitting most of the time, walking, and standing occasionally, exerting up to 10 lbs force occasionally and/or negligible amount force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, move objects, including the body.
">Working Conditions: You will be working in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the institution.
">Reports To: Senior Instructional Designer
">Wage/Salary: $15.29 per hour
">Status: Part-time
">Work Hours: Wednesdays (12-8 pm), Fridays (8 am -4 pm), Saturdays (9 am -4 pm)
