Psychologist - NGRI Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified individual for the role of Psychologist II, specializing in the treatment of patients adjudicated Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI). This position is integral to our commitment to providing exceptional mental health care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and ongoing assessments for NGRI patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on risk management and therapeutic interventions.
  • Prepare forensic reports to support the progression of patients through the graduated privileging process.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to psychology interns and practicum students.

Minimum Qualifications

A Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology is mandatory. Candidates must also be eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications

Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in Virginia is highly desirable. Additional training in forensic psychology is preferred.

Work Environment

This role is considered essential, requiring flexibility to work during emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
