Position Summary:

This role is pivotal in supporting Quality Assurance, Product Quality, and food safety initiatives that safeguard consumers and enhance trust in the Domino's brand. Key responsibilities include setting and upholding product quality standards, managing supplier partnerships, and ensuring the safety of food products. The position also involves acting as an internal expert to facilitate cross-functional projects within the supply chain and overseeing product enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Quality and Supplier Oversight:

  • Directs efforts related to product compliance, including adherence to specifications, supplier relationship management, and incident management.
  • Ensures product compliance across the supply chain, focusing on designated products and categories.
  • Maintains comprehensive product specifications and supplier documentation to guarantee the delivery of safe, high-quality ingredients that comply with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support the onboarding of new suppliers and manage ongoing supplier relationships.
  • Reviews and modifies product specifications, encompassing attributes, sensory characteristics, and analytical measures.
  • Conducts product compliance evaluations and reports on quality and performance metrics.
  • Identifies and addresses negative trends in product performance, formulating action plans for quality improvement.
  • Leads corrective action initiatives in response to product incidents.
  • Partners with the QA field team to investigate quality issues within the supply chain.
  • Champions continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and consistency of supplied ingredients.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for assigned product categories within cross-functional teams.
  • Explores innovative ways to utilize technology and analytics to elevate food quality and safety.
  • Available for on-call support for product incidents outside regular business hours.
  • May require travel to support various initiatives related to product quality and supplier management.

Special Projects:

  • Leads special initiatives that support Engineering, R&D, Procurement, and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn about products to facilitate development and improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in food science or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance or a related field, particularly in food manufacturing or R&D.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across various organizational levels.
  • Proficient in identifying opportunities, setting objectives, and working independently.
  • Extensive knowledge of poultry, processed animal proteins, and shelf-stable sauces and dressings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong statistical analysis capabilities.
  • HACCP certification and familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices preferred.
  • Able to manage multiple projects effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
