Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to provide exceptional service to our members. As a Part Time Teller, you'll be responsible for welcoming members into the branch, providing friendly and helpful service, and promoting a positive financial well-being. You'll also be responsible for meeting established goals for internal and external sales, building rapport with members, and cross-selling financial products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome members into the branch and provide friendly, helpful service.
  • Meet established goals for internal and external sales.
  • Build rapport with members to cross-sell financial products and services.
  • Accurately and efficiently process routine financial inquiries, transactions, and service requests.
  • Secure credit union assets, balance transactions, and complete necessary reports.

Requirements:

  • Availability to work 20 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am – 6:15pm and rotating Saturdays 8:45am – 1:15pm in our Maple Grove branch.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (or in active pursuit of with a specified end date).
  • One year of experience interacting with the public or serving customers.
  • One year of cash handling experience, preferred.
  • Previous sales experience or strong interest in sales, preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to help people.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and non-verbal), interpersonal skills, and active listening skills.
  • Good decision-making skills and judgement.
  • Ability to perform calculations and proficiency in basic math skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse membership and employee population.
  • A professional and friendly appearance and demeanor.
  • Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
  • Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.
