Key Responsibilities:

The Customer Service Dispatcher plays a crucial role in scheduling equipment and dispatching drivers for the efficient movement of materials. Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing radio, telephone, and computer systems to communicate assignments and compile progress reports.
  • Coordinating with sales to gather pricing information and manage load pickups with contracted haulers.

Essential Duties:

  • Schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment to designated locations based on customer requests and operational needs.
  • Communicate with maintenance teams to arrange necessary repairs for equipment.
  • Relay work orders and messages between drivers and supervisors using telecommunication tools.
  • Engage with customers and supervisory personnel to address inquiries and service requests.
  • Prepare daily work schedules and route assignments based on customer needs.
  • Monitor and manage communications within assigned territories to ensure service efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer requests and services performed.
  • Assess vehicle and driver requirements based on operational specifications.
  • Ensure timely and effective material movement according to established schedules.
  • Order and distribute supplies and equipment as necessary.
