Key Responsibilities:

The Customer Service Dispatcher plays a crucial role in scheduling equipment and dispatching drivers for the efficient movement of materials. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting sales teams by gathering pricing information and coordinating load pickups with contracted haulers.
  • Utilizing communication tools such as radios, telephones, and computers to relay assignments and compile progress reports.

Essential Functions:

• Schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment to designated locations based on customer requests and operational needs, utilizing route sheets and telecommunication tools.

• Liaise with maintenance teams to arrange necessary repairs for equipment upkeep.

• Relay work orders and messages between drivers and supervisors using telecommunication systems.

• Collaborate with customers and supervisory personnel to address inquiries, issues, and service requests.

• Prepare daily work schedules and route assignments based on service requests.

• Monitor personnel and equipment to ensure optimal service delivery and adherence to schedules.

• Maintain accurate records of customer requests and services performed.

• Assess the number of vehicles and drivers needed based on service demands and route specifications.

• Ensure the timely and efficient movement of materials according to established work orders and schedules.

• Order necessary supplies and equipment, distributing them to personnel as required.
