Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hair styling services, including cuts, washes, styles, colors, and permanent waves, to residents in accordance with their individual needs and preferences.
  • Offer basic manicure services, including polishing and nail clipping, to residents.
  • Provide tweezing and waxing services for facial hair.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
  • Schedule resident appointments and document services provided for accurate payroll and billing purposes.
  • Assist residents with transfers and ambulation, or request assistance from nursing staff when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Attend departmental education and training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information.
  • Respond to fire alarms and assist in resident evacuation when needed.
  • Represent the organization through professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and staff.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Current, valid cosmetology license.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a hairstylist in a salon environment.
  • Experience working with senior populations preferred.
