Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing administrative support to human resources functions, including benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR initiatives and programs in partnership with the HR team.
  • Provide guidance and support to site leadership on employee relations and performance management.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend solutions through the progressive discipline process.
  • Partner with managers and employees on training needs for career development and on-the-job training.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws through efficient administration of company HR policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives.
  • Assist with leave administration in accordance with business process and federal and state laws.
  • Process payroll for all hourly and salary staff.
  • Assist with timecard maintenance, ensuring accurate tracking and recording of employee hours.
  • Utilize HRIS systems for employee data and produce reports as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or equivalent.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years HR Generalist experience (employee relations, payroll processing, recruiting, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of OSHA and ISO Audit requirements.
  • Familiarity of control documents and change procedures.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish.

Work Environment:

This is an on-site position located in Houston, TX.

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel, which is less than 10%.
