We are currently in search of a proficient Security Operations Specialist to enhance our expanding team. This role involves overseeing premises and safeguarding personnel, visitors, tenants, and assets for our clientele. The selected candidate will operate under the guidance of a project manager during their assigned shifts. Ideal candidates will possess a background in military or law enforcement, complemented by training in self-defense and first aid. We seek a motivated individual with keen observational skills and swift reaction capabilities to identify suspicious or unlawful activities and to prevent theft or vandalism.

Qualified applicants must hold a valid Texas DPS/PSB Pocket Card and reside within a reasonable commuting distance. All prospective employees must successfully undergo a background check and any additional assessments as mandated by state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a secure environment through proactive patrols, stringent access control, monitoring, and equipment oversight.
  • Conduct foot patrols to secure assets, buildings, entrances, exits, and perimeter fencing under varying weather conditions.
  • Investigate incidents and take appropriate lawful actions as outlined by corporate policies regarding accidents, suspicious activities, and safety incidents.
  • Assist in executive protection, workplace violence response, crisis management, and other security-related projects.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and surveillance activities accurately.
  • Collaborate with fellow security personnel to ensure comprehensive protection and coverage.
  • Serve as a liaison with local and federal law enforcement agencies.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to designated areas and assets.
  • Respond to reported incidents as required.
  • Monitor closed-circuit television systems for potential security issues.
  • Uphold the company’s reputation through professionalism and adherence to legal standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make swift decisions regarding threats and appropriate responses.
  • Physically fit, with the ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
  • Composed and efficient under pressure.
  • Familiarity with security protocols and procedures.
  • Proficient in operating surveillance equipment and access control systems.
  • Experience with firearms and self-defense techniques.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice.
  • Attention to detail and a professional appearance.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in law enforcement, military, or private security is preferred.
  • Experience in high-threat armed security roles is advantageous.
  • Possession of a Texas DPS/PSB Pocket Card is mandatory.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Work Environment
  • Work may occur indoors and outdoors, in extreme weather conditions.
  • Potential exposure to confined spaces and heights.
  • Locations may include residential, commercial, public, and government properties.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, lift, or move up to 150 pounds, and perform various physical activities.
  • Full sensory capabilities to assist in observation and awareness.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including long hours.
  • Capacity to remain on feet for extended durations.
