Position Summary

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is tasked with managing the upkeep, functionality, and readiness of machinery for daily operations. This role involves hands-on technical work, ensuring that all plant equipment and automated systems operate effectively to meet production demands. The Specialist will devise and execute maintenance strategies, including preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as emergency and scheduled repairs.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are essential for this position:

  • Monitor and address the preventive and corrective maintenance needs of various plant machinery.
  • Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform necessary maintenance and services.
  • Complete all work orders, including preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Provide emergency repairs for production and plant machinery as needed.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance repairs efficiently.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, as well as electrical and electronic components.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to repair and replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Maximize equipment uptime through effective troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve complex issues and suggest improvements.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain compliance with established company policies and procedures.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the maintenance field.
  • Proficiency in electrical wiring and controls, including experience with various automation software.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with robotics and control systems.
Tools and Equipment

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will utilize various tools and equipment, including:

  • Hand tools
  • Grinders
  • Forklifts
  • Electrical and electronic components
  • Computers and software for automation

This position is vital for maintaining the operational integrity of the facility and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
