We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our perinatal team, you will be responsible for performing all types of ultrasound exams on perinatal patients for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Optimally operate various types of ultrasound equipment and exercise independent judgment to determine the necessary views for correct diagnosing purposes.
- Prep patients accordingly and assist the perinatologist as needed.
- Image and measure appropriately, performing all types of exams, and judge the adequacy of the image.
- Recognize normal and abnormal anatomy, develop a differential diagnosis of findings, and ask for assistance when needed.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality while providing a safe environment for patients.
- Check equipment for optimal setup, determine correct equipment usage, clean and disinfect equipment as per Infection Control policies.
- Present cases to perinatologists and discuss plans of care.
- Ensure delivery of excellent customer service, resulting in positive and improving patient satisfaction scores for the department and Medical Center.
- Associate's degree in Ultrasound technology, Certification in Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.
- First Trimester Certification, Fetal Medicine Foundation Nuchal Translucency.
- 2-3 years prior experience required.
- Ability to read and concentrate frequently to check accuracy of reports, correspondence, computer records, etc.
- Ability to deal with stress of dealing with public, frequent interruptions, and working on more than one task concurrently.
