Chief Technology Officer

Embrace Pet Insurance is seeking a seasoned Chief Technology Officer to drive technological innovation and lead the development of our customer-facing and internal platforms. As the CTO, you will be responsible for shaping our technological roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal user experiences across all digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Refine and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's direct-to-consumer business objectives.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of internal and customer-facing platforms, including web, mobile, and other digital channels, to optimize the insurance buying journey and internal operations.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to improve customer engagement, conversion rates, and overall business performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment and integration of technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement robust security measures to protect customer data and privacy.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in technology leadership roles within the InsureTech or FinTech industry, with a focus on direct-to-consumer selling.
  • Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer business models and customer acquisition strategies within the insurance industry.
  • Expertise in developing and scaling customer-facing digital platforms, with proficiency in web development, mobile applications, and e-commerce technologies.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving technological innovation and delivering results in a fast-paced, agile environment – specifically for internal processing and customer service functions.
  • Deep knowledge of data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence technologies, with experience leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Experience working with cloud-based technologies and infrastructure, preferably AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the insurance industry.
