About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Machine Builder to join our team at Koch Industries. As an Automation Machine Builder, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing automation equipment and systems to meet the needs of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with our design team to develop and improve automation equipment and systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Manufacturing and Fabrication: Fabricate, assemble, and modify automation equipment and systems, including troubleshooting and repairing complex issues.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of automation equipment and systems to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
  • International Travel: Travel up to 20% per year to support our global manufacturing facilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 5 years of experience as a toolmaker, machine builder, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, self-management, planning, and organizational skills, working knowledge of CAD software, proficiency in operating mills, lathes, and surface grinders, and ability to read and interpret detailed prints.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of experience as a toolmaker, machine builder, or equivalent, experience in the wire processing or connector industry, and ability to interpret schematics to perform electrical field wiring of sensors, valves, and motors.
