Powersports Technician

Workforce Connections, Arkansas Department of Commerce, is seeking a skilled Powersports Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in diagnosing faults, completing repairs, and replacing parts on motorcycles, ATVs, and side-by-sides.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in repairing engines, brakes, electrical systems, ignition systems, fuel injection systems, plugs, and carburetors. They will also be proficient in doing inspections and routine services, fitting and repairing tires, customizing or fitting accessories, and advising on necessary repairs.
A high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail are required, as well as the ability to read and follow manuals, worksheets, and electrical schematics. The candidate will also need to be comfortable using hand and power tools, computerized diagnostic equipment, and heavy lifting and pushing.
This is a full-time position with potential for 5-10 hours per week of overtime (OT) available paid at time and a half. The employer offers six major holidays paid, 401k benefits, and paid vacation/sick leave after six months. Hours can be somewhat flexible, with a preference for working 2 or more Saturdays (8 a.m.- 12 noon) per month, which is overtime pay.
