About the Role:

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is a leading consulting engineering firm seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer I to join our team in Seattle. As a key member of our mechanical engineering team, you will work on a variety of projects, including energy-efficient building solutions, sustainable design practices, and innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform load calculations, determine system sizing and layouts, and calculate equipment sizes.
  • Select equipment, complete field surveys, and review equipment shop drawings.
  • Work with experienced engineers and mentor designers to develop and implement mechanical engineering solutions.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • BSME/BSAE from an ABET-accredited school.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Non-academic internship experience.
  • Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred.
  • EIT certification (passed the FE exam) a plus.
